Tsubame BHB has developed a small-scale ammonia process based on a new catalyst from Tokyo Institute of Technology (Prof. Hosono) that allows the reaction to occur at lower pressure and temperature. Main applications are decentralized ammonia production and energy storage / transportation in connection with renewable energy sources. The systems can also mitigate supply risks for smaller ammonia users by providing on-site green ammonia production. Modules with 500, 3000, and 5000 mtpy are developed. Moreover, also EPC models with >10.000 mtpy are available.
